_*Railfest rolls into Smiths Falls *_
Get ready for Railfest, August 28th and 29th at the Railway Museum of
Eastern Ontario, 90 William St. W. (just of Abbott St.)
Two days of fun-filled activities for the whole family to enjoy. The
weekend will feature
displays, workshops, vendors, live music and a cartoonist.
Come out to the museum to view model railroad displays, take the kids
for a handcar
ride, or aboard Jim Davis' Ride Along Train. Enjoy a BBQ and cotton
candy and stay to
watch films under the stars on Saturday night. We will be featuring
Buster Keaton in the
Rail Rodder and the World War II Classic The One That Got Away (1957).
The festival runs Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm. The movie
starts at 8:15 pm
on Saturday. Bring a blanket or lawn chair.
Admission each day is $5.50 for adults, seniors and students are $4.50,
children 6 to 13
are $3.50 and children under 6 are free. The movies are included in the
admission price.
