Cape cars have a wood roof with canvas as did most cars of that era. Requires
proper regular maintenance to keep it from leaking.
You say baggage car to be scrapped however there are two cars. So, which one?
In previous post you said express refer to be kept account good for food
storage. Now you say it is to be scrapped. Which is it?
BTW The scrapper could possibly get more than scrap value for the heavyweight
trucks under the Cape car and possibly others so CPR can maintain their fleet
of passenger equipment.

Ray & Dave,
I just returned from the cars and gave them the car weights. There is a crew
there from Halton working on the L&PS Interurban. They said that Mathews will
moving the car within 2 weeks.
The bad news is that the Cape Car is going to be scrapped. They're saying
that there is too much water damage (what ever that means).
Very sure that it is the baggage and box car that are being scrapped.
Interurban car is going to Rockwood Halton County Radial Railway and Nova
Scotia car is going to Toronto Railway Museum.
