freight car production at Rapido

Hi all,
The official order deadline for the HO Scale CP Angus Vans (Transcona
Yard Series Wide Vision Caboose) is May 1st, but I've extended it to
May 8th because I will be out of the country on the 1st.
I've looked at our numbers so far, and to be honest I'm quite
surprised. The orders for the CP caboose in CP colours are 25% of
what we would typically get for a CN passenger car. And I'm just
comparing original paint schemes - CP vs. CNR. If orders for the
ACR, ONR and TH&B versions don't seriously pick up, I am cancelling
all three paint schemes. I simply don't have enough orders to make them.
We can't blame it on the economy, as we're still getting orders for
our "oddballs" passenger cars. The orders for all 12 numbers of CP
caboose do not even equal the orders for the 5 VIA-CN coach
numbers. Maybe all of the CP freight modellers out there are really
closet VIA-CN modellers.
We'll see how the orders are on the 8th. Unless we see some more
interest, I'm not going to risk doing any more CP freight equipment.
