Subject: Info on CPR Diesels
I'm putting together a photo display for our Doors
Open event at the
John St. roundhouse in May of some CPR passenger
power, both steam
and diesel, that called at the facility. I have
photographs of the
following units and would appreciate some
information:
FP7A No. 1403
FPA-2 No. 4082
RDC-1 No. 9051
Thanks much.
Derek Boles
Here's what I have:
CP 1403 was sold to VIA, I don't recall what VIA
number it may have took after it was VIA 1403. (maybe
a 6550? series, some were rebuilt and numbered into
that series, or it may have been retired.)
RDC1 CP Rail 9051, went to VIA Rail as 6128, then to
BCR (British Columbia Railway) as their 16 in 1990,
retired 1995 and used for parts. Later sold to IRS
(Industrial Rail Services)
Hope this helps,
Daniel D
BTW-If anyone has a roster of VIA's 655x series, could
you send it to <danieldellunto@xxxxxxxx>, thanks.
I'm going to be posting a copy of my CPR RDC roster in
the Files section.
