Herald King #L-4 CP Rail Red Diesel Hood Unit (1980)

Hi.

Just picked up a set of decals for the above indicated type of CP Rail diesels. 
Included in the set are several road numbers in red, rather than white: 5517, 
5598, 5603, 5710, 5726, 5872, 5949 (various SD40-2s) and 3015 (GP38AC). I know 
that Canadian Pacific acquired some SD40-2s from KCS - they were in white and 
had the road numbers in red - but I didn't know if they got that many from KCS 
or what the deal was. And in the research I've done on these numbers, I haven't 
been able to find any with road numbers in red. Anyone know what's up with this?
