I was once on this list ages ago for a brief time, but now I am back.
I'm Frank from Vancouver, and as back then, my interest in CP is still
small, but growing (main rail interest still centered around the
Balkans), as I've resurrected an old idea to model the line that went
to Gimli, MB.
I've scoured the archives and found the information given to me
on-list by Fred Shannon on freight operations on the line in 1972, and
that wonderfully detailed list of the Riverton wayfreight of July 7,
1975. An amazing piece of information, that one!
Ideally, I would like to have something set when there were still
passenger services on the line, so if anyone would have any
information regarding that, it would be enormously appreciated.
I did once find a picture of Gimli station (I think this was during my
last trip there, nearly 10 years ago), but I've not yet found it - if
it is still around somewhere in my boxes. So, any information as to
sources for pictures of this, would be muchly appreciated, too - it
was in a book that I found this picture, but I've no idea anymore, which.
Last question (for now) would be regarding the track arrangements in
the area, both at Gimli station and the branches to Seagram's and CFB
Gimli.
