For sale is a nice, nice Canadian Pacific T-1c Selkirk 2-10-4, as made by Sam
and imported by Van Hobbies. This is a model of the final, semi-streamlined
class of 2-10-4's on the CP, and is beautifully custom painted as #5931 in the
classic grey/maroon/black scheme. This was also, IIRC, the last run of the VH
Selkirks, so Sam's teething troubles evident on the early, non-streamlined T-1's
are no longer present. Last time I checked, the loco ran fine, but that was some
time ago, so some lube and/or rubber driveline tubing replacement may be
necessary. I don't know; it's been sitting in my display case for years! The
original box, while present and with label intact, is in poor condition, having
suffered water damage (it was empty) from a broken water heater some years back.
I'm now asking $525 (USD) for this classic, which is a steal considering the
book
value
and what Sunset is asking for theirs...I haven't taken any pics, but would be
glad to do so and to send to your "e-dress". All I ask is that you're at least
somewhat serious about buying it, and not just collecting pictures....
Postage will be additional, most likely in the $15-25 range depending on where
you live.
