Noticed a brand new paint job and additional equipment on an
inspection train in the West Toronto Yard this weekend (March 2-3rd)
Has anyone else seen this set of cars:
Car 63 "Track Evaluation built 8-31 reblt 5-99"
appears to be original inspection car with recent retrofit but wanted
feedback
Car 424933 "Guage Restraint Measurement Vehicle" built 3-81 reblt 5-
99"
appears to be purpose built conversion but from what?
Car 68 "Accomomdation built 8-53 reblt 5-99"
this one is very interesting because the end doors say "Lake Arcudi"
and it is obviously a rebuild from a curved sided passenger car
also 8271 was the motive power.
These 3 cars and the motive power stayed over in the West Toronto
Yard for the weekend and was last seen Tuesday morning.
I still do not have a long shot of any of the vehicle sides but have
over 50+ shots of details 1/4 shots along the sides and all the
underside details. Also have 3/4 shots of the rear of the "Track
evaluation car"
Any information would be appreciated because I wanted to combine all
of the details into an article for the CPHA Tracks magazine.
anyone who wants the pictures let me know and we can figure out a way
to share them.
