My friend George Melvin, author of two volumes on the Maine Central, and
I are working on a two volume all-colour photo essay of Canadian Pacific
for Morning Sun Books. Both volumes will feature CPR's steam
locomotives and early diesels in Maroon and Gray, ie prior to the CP
Rail era. Volume 1 will feature lines east of Fort William while Volume
2 will deal with lines west of the Lakehead.
We are actively looking for action and/or scenic views showing trains,
locations and railroaders at work. The Sudbury to Calgary area is of
particular interest although we are keen to get views from coast to
coast. If you have original slides and are interested in working with
