All A units in old colours with either block or script lettering had the Beaver
shield. They were removed with the creation of CP Rail.

Guys,
As we all know, CPR cab unit diesels painted in the maroon & grey block
lettering scheme had beaver shields on the front nose. Here is my
question. How many units got the same treatment in the script paint
scheme? I am particularly interested in the freight and dual service
units. Specifically the GMD FP7 units, MLW FA-1, FA-2, the CLC CFA16-4,
and CPA16-4. I know, for example that CFA16-4 #4053 was equipped with
the shield when first painted in script but later lost it (about 1972?).
I am asking this question as I have several HO models to paint and am
considering painting some of them in the script scheme. Included are 2
FP7's, 2 FA-1's, 2 FA-2's and a single CFA-16-4 (to be unit #4053). I
am modeling circa 1968 so this in an important detail to me.
Thanks for any information.
