Good evening William,
It is good to hear from you, and thank you for including the information and
your thoughts on the current and forthcoming updates for Breakneck Comedy.
It is fantastic to see that as one of Aberdeen's most prominent, and one of the
North-East of Scotland's best known comedy venues, they are performing so well
- even if introducing the issues of capacity, scale, access and amenity as
highlighted by the owner-operator.
As you have identified, while we as the Community Council have always been very
supportive and enthusiastic in our support of the success of Breakneck Comedy
venue since first arriving to the areas - since the location they are intending
to move to is within the City Centre boundary, it would be appropriate to
enable the City Centre Community Council to provide response on the first
occasion, as the Statutory Consultee body.
If it would be possible for you to make contact with the City Centre Community
Council as Planning Liaison, to ask if they have yet - or are planning to put
forward a representation?
This means that we can ensure we are able to provide a response, after rather
than in advance of the City Centre Community Council, since the proposed future
location is within the City Centre boundary area.
Thank you again, and welcome to let us know as and when you receive an update
and response from City Centre from which we can proceed.
Sincerely,
Jonathan

Subject: [cpcc-committee] Planning application we should consider
This week there is one planning application In our community council which I
will send to you in due Course
But the prime reason for e-mail line after discussion with Dustin Macdonald who
is chair of the city centre community council there is a planning application
in The city centre community council boundary and with us being the
neighbouring community council I think we should consider Putting In a
supporting This application as well
As many of you will know breakneck comedy currently has a comedy club within
our community council they are looking to move to above Burger King on Union
street which is a more accessible venue done where they currently are it will
see them put in disabled toiletWhich there is no provision within the current
venue it will also see them extend to not just comedy but jazz And generally
see them grew I have watched him grow from start where they started off in the
blue lamp on a Saturday night and then moved to the current venue there after
the moment they put on lots of charity events including events for People who
work in the emergency services The number of other events Happy a great asset
to our community I think we should support the application which I have
included in this email
https://publicaccess.aberdeencity.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?activeTab=documents&keyVal=Q6DB4TBZG7Y00
I have put in a letter of support as an individual community counsellor
Have also bcc The community council Officer T check on where we stand with
this whether we can offer support
I should declare from the outset that the owner naz Hussain is a personal
friend of mine alone with his partner and his son and his dogs But certainly
would be more than happy to work on a letter of support from Our community
council if everyone else is in support what you will see when you look at the
relevant documents is that there are a number of individuals from Aberdeen city
Shire And across the northeast supporting it I think we should get behind it
along with our colleagues in the city centre who are looking into getting
behind this as well
