Please find forwarded and attached a Call for Volunteers from Karen Finch,
Community Council Liaison Officer with Aberdeen City Council who is also
performing a coordinating role with a number of volunteering groups.

Please do consider if you are able to provide any assistance, while of course
taking all possible precautions and measures for yours, family, friends and
community's safety.

As always, if there is anything that you require any information for or
assistance with for yourself or member of the community, you are also very
welcome and encouraged to get in touch.

Subject: COVID-19 Resilience - Volunteers Needed

Dear Community Councillors

In this uncertain time, we all need to look after ourselves as well as those
around us.  We have been given specific guidelines regarding when to leave the
house etc.  There are however people in our communities who are the most
vulnerable and will require some help, even with the most basic things like
collecting medications, some shopping or having someone to phone and say hi how
are you today.

I am part of the Community Response Group to COVID-19 group who are trying to
co-ordinate what support is out there, who would be able to assist those most
in need and of course identifying those that need assistance.  I have attached
some information relating to this.

If your Community Council or individual members are fit and well and able to
help let me know and I can get you added to the central register.  Please
respond to

Full support is available and each neighbourhood has a co-ordinator,

For those Community Councils already involved, thank you so much for your
efforts to date and your continued work in this vital area.  A little bit goes
a long way and in this critical time it is even more important to be involved
where possible as well as keeping yourself safe and well.
