Good evening everyone,
- Following from yesterday's request with the Planning Department of the City
Council, there has been confirmation of an additional 14 days being granted
to the Community Council to prepare response to the application until the
date of:
Wednesday, 20th September 2017
- In addition, there has also been Parking Survey requested by the City
Council's Roads Development Management Team and this should have the chance
to be carried out before that date for us to also have the chance to respond
to when responding to the application.
- It has also been confirmed that only the 'Pilot Office' was notified at the
early stages of the application as the nearest residential property and home
in the Fittie village is reported as being beyond the 20 meter radius for
'Neighbour Notification'.
Although the surrounding houses and homes Fiite may be just outside of the
minimum distance for 'Neighbour Notification', I believe that residents
should still have been notified and consulted on this proposed development by
the City Council as many of the identified issues could have the greatest
impact on those who reside and live in the village.
- In this way, the extended date should allow more time for those in the
community to come forward with views, for us consult with the community, and
to consider the results of the Parking Survey if it is carried out before the
extended date by the Roads Development Team and Planning Team.
Hopefully the extended date for consultation and preparation of response
along with the information included will be helpful, and thank you Pauline
and all again for helping to take this consultation and application response
forward
Sincerely,
Jonathan

Good afternoon Pauline,
I have spoken with the City Council Planning Department earlier this
afternoon to request an additional 14 days of consultation time with the
community and for the Community Council to consider and prepare response to
the application. From which, there shall hopefully be confirmation of whether
this is possible when the assigned Case Officer returns tomorrow afternoon.
That is an excellent suggestion, and thank you for proposing to prepare
response for the Community Council to reflect some of those views in the
community.
Even if there may be some residents who are supportive of the application, I
believe it equally important that we identify the potential impacts that we
have earlier described, and to ask how these will be addressed, and indeed
that they are.
In looking through the 'Flooding Consultation' report attached to the
application on the Planning website, there is also the potential for an
increased risk of flooding, and even if the application does come to later be
granted.
This will be important for the application to clearly address and mitigate if
it intends to proceed, alongside the other impacts identified, and
particularly upon the village and residents surrounding the site of the
application.
The application should be available for viewing at the following website
address with City Council's Planning Department:
https://publicaccess.aberdeencity.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?activeTab=summary&keyVal=OUH2WHBZMS300
Thank you again for suggesting preparing response to application to share
with members and shall be sure to keep updated when receiving response from
Planning Department.
Sincerely,
Jonathan

Subject: [cpcc-committee] Further to request for support with planning letter
Good afternoon,
In a mail sent earlier today, I asked if anyone could offer to complete a
response to the Silver Darling planning application on our behalf. As I've
had no responses, may I suggest that I write a response, circulate to all
CPCC members for a yay or nay and, if agreed, I send on our behalf.
Please let me know, as time is of the essence.
Kind regards,
Pauline

Good morning,
At last month's meeting, it was agreed that August would be a month of recess
for CPCC. This was minuted and minutes curculated.
However, as it is incumbent upon us to respond to the planning application
placed by the Silver Darling, an extraordinary meeting may be required;
unless one of us can offer to complete a response on our behalf?
Comments?
