For my office connecting switches I just keep spares. For datacenter switching 
everything is in 0/1 bond so if one fails im still running.

My switches do have a basic warranty for at least 10 years - the switches are 
critical and I am not stocking replacements in case of failure, although I 
guess that is an option.

Just fyi most of the enterprise switches have a 10 year basic warranty or 
atleast the ones I have carry that.

I have a number of Dell switches with expiring support. The equipment is 
working fine, no need to replace but I need to have support. I want to look at 
third party maintenance options.

Does anyone have any recommendations or thoughts? All opinions welcome.
