We had a similar situation recently and decided to implement a 7 year retention
policy. There's some exceptions to due to IRS regulations, but I was happy the
decision.

However, I believe FileCabinet CS is a local version of GoFileRoom. TR may be
able to provide a tool to convert FC into a GFR backup as is mentioned in CCH's
response to you.

We have an old instance of File Cabinet CS (circa 2014) that's been hanging
around from a merger with another firm. We need to deal with it as it's not
been maintained to follow our file retention policy. None of the data has been
properly classified. We would like to import the data into our instance of CCH
Axcess Document. When we inquired about the process from CCH, we were told that
they have an import process and provided a quote. While not cheap, the fee
seemed worth not having to deal with importing everything manually. Then CCH
came back with SOW including the following terms:

As I read our requirements, it appears that most of the work would be on our
end. Has anyone else done this type migration of that could make a
recommendation on how to go about it or point me towards a tool?
