Thanks! I’ll take a look at this information and see if I can translate it
into something that works for InTune.

**Following for answers from those smarter than I**
I haven’t needed to deploy it recently, but I did cobble together a package in
PDQ Deploy to automate the (v2020.2.4) install for our workstations some time
ago. Might not translate exactly, but maybe something in here will be helpful.
The configuration file I used is attached. Looks like it was located in this
directory: Engagement CD Image\SqlExpress2016\sqlexpr_x64_enu
My order of operations were:
1. Install Engagement Prerequisites
* Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1
* SQLXML 4.0 SP1 x64
* SQL 2012 Native Client x64
* Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redist x86
* Microsoft Visual Studio Tools for Office Runtime 2010 Redist x64
* Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 – 2019 Runtime 14.29.30139.0
1. Install SQL Express 2016 (PROFXENGAGEMENT) Database
* SETUP.exe /ConfigurationFile=ConfigurationFile.ini
i. I added a note here
(thank you past self) that says:
[cid:image008.png@01D8B7D2.BA6F9680]
1. Install CCH ProSystem fx Engagement
* msiexec.exe /i "CCH ProSystem fx Engagement.msi" ALLUSERS=1 /qn
/norestart /log output.log
1. Copy Engagement Binder Templates
* Remove existing templates
* Copy Binder Templates
Looks like I also made an upgrade package around the same time. I don’t think I
was able to come up with any database magic, because I left myself a note there
too.

Subject: [CPAGeeks] ProSystem fx Engagement + SQL / Silent Installs (Intune or
other RMM)
Stealing Kevin’s question regarding silent installs of ProSystem fx Engagement
(and dependencies).
Does anybody have scripts for installing the SQL Express instance and
ultimately Engagement?
We are coming up on the new Engagement release later this year and we’ve been
getting around a 70% success rate of fully silent upgrades in recent years.
Especially with the .NET Framework dependencies in the latest versions, there
seem to be a lot of hiccups in getting a smooth silent upgrade.
This year we will have a large number of stations moving from 32-bit SQL
Express (no longer supported) to 64-bit which means uninstalling the old and
installing a new instance – ideally automatically – prior to updating
Engagement.

Curious also if anyone has successfully deployed Engagement silently (both the
SQL and App installs) through InTune?
For Axcess, we use the .exe for the IUM, Practice, Document, and Tax the
biggest pain being downloading the updated .exes whenever there is an update.
I didn’t know about the URL posted here:
https://z001download.cchaxcess.com/iugatewaymanager/mediadownload.aspx which is ;
nicer than using the ‘Download’ function through IUM so thanks for that!
Would be nice if they had a ‘current’ release download link I could use in our
deployment script to just go snag the current installer.
