Good afternoon, neighbors!
Since we missed a lot of neighbors on Saturday, I would like to provide an
update on the year-end event and elections that happened on Saturday.
Our neighbor Veronica was generous enough to let us use her lot at
Castledale and Woodshire to gather. I was informed that this meeting
coincided with a pretty important football game - we'll make every effort
to avoid that next time, but I appreciate the dedication of the Longhorn
fans who came anyway.
We were a smaller group than last year, but enough households were present
for a meeting to be called to order and elections to be conducted. I was
elected COVNA Board President for a two year term and am looking forward to
stepping into that role on January 1st.
Say hello and congratulations to our new COVNA Board members who were also
elected on Saturday:
- Dorothy Trainer, Secretary
- Julie Chang, Newsletter Editor
- Rita Thompson, ANC Representative
Will Binford is the current Vice President and Ron Mattison is the current
Treasurer and they will continue serving our neighborhood in those roles
into next year. Michelle Hendrix will continue serving as Immediate Past
President. Thanks to Katy Hamill for her service to the Board.
This means we have a full Board for 2024!
I look forward to meeting more of the lovely people who call this gem of a
neighborhood home. Until then, enjoy this season and you'll start hearing
more from your new Board in the new year.
