I will not be able to attend tonight, but have forwarded my thoughts to
Councilmember Ann Kitchen and her staff. If any of you have questions that do
not get answered tonight, please let me know so that I can follow up with her
staff again.
Thank you.

D5 Town Hall:
Land Development Code Revision
Dear Neighbors,
We want to remind everyone about our District 5 Town Hall tomorrow evening,
This will be a public meeting specifically for D5, hosted by our office, to
discuss the Draft Code with City LDC staff in attendance to present and
respond to questions.
D5 Town Hall - Tuesday, October 29
6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Woodlawn Baptist Church
4600 Menchaca Rd, 78745
We will be collecting questions from the audience on note cards, with the
intention of addressing as many questions as possible and following up with
answers to those questions that do not get addressed in our limited time.
We will ask that question cards include name, address, and email address to
help track the concerns and follow up as necessary.
Share your Feedback - There are also important opportunities to share your
thoughts about the revised Land Development Code draft with City leadership:
· Planning Commission vote and recommendations to Council (anticipated
in November)*
· City Council Public Hearing (anticipated in November)
· City Council consideration on first reading (anticipated in December)*
*Note: You may provide input during public hearings. Public input is not
normally taken during deliberation or voting sessions.
To see a full list of other public events regarding the Land Development
Code Revisions, visit austintexas.gov/department/events/3630.
Submit A Zoning Map - On behalf of the Mayor and the Austin City Council,
staff developed a process to accept input from the community on the zoning
map. Please consider the following criteria for submitting a map:
Transition areas will not be mapped deeper than 2 to 5 lots from Imagine
Austin Corridors and/or the Transit Priority Network (not counting corridor
lot) and/or no deeper than 850 ft;
The number of parcels zoned RM1 and R4 (Missing Middle House-Scale
Multi-unit zones) will remain the same;
Parcels adjacent to corridor-fronting parcels will remain RM1 or R4; and
Council’s May 2nd Policy Direction.
Directions for map submission: Print and complete this form, attach it
securely to your map, and drop it off at 505 Barton Springs Road, 5th floor
reception area by 5 PM on Wednesday, November 6, 2019.
For the latest information on the Land Development Code Revision, including
blog posts, FAQs, and events, the LDC website is updated almost daily and
you can visit it at austintexas.gov/ldc.
We hope you are able to join us tomorrow night!
