I received a phone call yesterday (512 221 1441). Asian voices wanted me to
give them my account number so they could deposit a refund check of $244 from
some unknown company that they said I had made a purchase from. I had made no
such purchase and I was certainly not going to give them my account #. I
called 311, she directed me to the police. I asked what I might do about this
and she said, if it happens again, call them back. Later in the
afternoon(yesterday) the Asian man called me back and left a message calling me
a B---- and a Son Of A B----. Today I called the police and filled out a
report. I have a case #. That is all. But be aware. THEY are really out
there and might call you.
