I have an update for Saturday: along with pizza, there will be water, drinks for kids and adults, and some sweet treats. Our neighbor Veronica who owns the lot at Castledale and Woodshire is happy to let us be on her lot as long as we wish to gather.
However, we do have business to conduct and hope to start the meeting that includes elections at 1:15p.

On that note, I would like to share that I wish to run for President of COVNA. My term as Secretary is coming to an end and I have learned a lot about the role of the neighborhood association and its inner workings in these last two years and wish to continue being a part of the Board. My experience in state government for the last 16 years has been helpful to me in understanding our association's by-laws and will help in taking ideas from the membership to enact changes based on your feedback.
I have lived in the neighborhood for over 10 years and love this place. Like most of us, I fell in love with the trees right away and could see my kids growing up here. I have made some dear friends here over the years, but one perk of manning the membership table with Ron at the neighborhood events is getting to meet even more people who call this neighborhood home. I truly enjoy that and hope to see you on Saturday at the elections.
Speaking of Ron, he has stepped in and together we are coordinating pizza for Saturday. Can we call it a party if there's pizza? I think so.
