This past weekend I attended this years last Governor's Meeting in St Louis.
My report is as follows:
FCOA
Attached is the latest FCOA list. Please have those members check those
members, verify the address of the FCOA member, and notify Pat Kelly directly
with any change.
Membership
As of the November 2017 Governor’s meeting there are 18, 620 members
nationwide. Keep in mind that this number is fluid, since we are right in the
middle of the renewal process. If you are receiving the NCCC President’s
Report and do not wish to receive it, do not mark it as spam. When a spam is
issued for that report, it’s a black mark against the NCCC and if we get enough
black marks, our ability to deliver such messages will be taken away. Instead
when you receive this report to hit the unsubscribe button.
There was a lot of discussion regarding the electronic cards. Most of the
comments from the RMD’s were negative. This type of card, however, will be
kept. Some of the options of printing and using these electronic cards are:
. download and distribute the attached guide for printing, different browsers,
use different methods. This guide is also available in the “member’s only”
section under the membership column.
. take a picture of the card, once you use the link, and put it on your smart
phone. If successful with printing, then laminate the card
. if you wish a plastic card, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to the
VP of Membership, Amelia Workman, 305 Haywood Lane, Nashville, TN 37211-5424.
Amelia will send out the card with a label stuck to the back.
. returning to the plastic cards would cost approx. $0.39 each time 18, 000
cards plus postage. This is a cost that the NCCC wishes to avoid.
Business Manager
Refer to the FAQ’s listed on the Insurance page. There is a lot of good
information on that page which could answer a lot of questions as to insurance
coverage. The 2017 Convention was quite successful, pulling in approx.
$15,000. Half the money went to the NCCC, one quarter went to the Region
responsible for the convention, and one quarter went to St Judes. Convention
2018 registration will open on February 3rd at 8am, CST. A fun competition
event with racing go-karts will be available.
Election of new NCCC Officers
Deb Schafer for Sgt of Arms, Joe Eller for VP of Competition, Rita Robinson for
Secretary, and Jim Walton for Business Manager. Also the 2019 Convention in
Denver has been approved.
Financial
Betty Parks continues to recuperate from her illness but sent a report. I have
that report and can send it to you upon request.
Charity
Donations to St Jude totals are $10,000 from the Cornhuskers Club, $900 from
the Convention for the overall competition, Denver Corvette Club $1000, and as
mentioned above $3,750 from the 2017 Convention Region.
Internet Technology
The NCCC Governor’s Database, Competition Database, and Home Website will shut
down January 8th to approx. the 15th for move to a new server. This time span
is tentative. As mentioned above, please unsubscribe rather than mark as spam
if you care not to receive the NCCC Pres reports.
Bloomington 2018
Continues in Indy and the Indiana Region will host the autocross. Gm will put
on a seminar for the new Corvette ZR-1.
Public Relations
The Family Helping Family database is in desperate need of new volunteers. If
interested, go to the “Members Only Section” for information. You will need a
password for that section. Send me an email and I will provide it.
Due to the hurricane and only 18 orders from the Eckler’s Calendars, Ecklers
will not be producing another calendar.
This being my last report to you for the year, I would like to take this
opportunity to wish all of you the Happiest of Holiday Seasons and a safe one.
Thank you for your support and allowing me to be your National Council Governor.
