Thanks to all for the kind words and loving support. It has been a complex
grieving process, just as being her brother was not always easy. It lightens me
for her to be remembered with such kindness by this community.

Subject: [constellationtalk] Sad news. Alison Levy RIP
Hello All –
I am sad to share the news that my sister, Alison Rose Ley, died on December
31, 2022 in our family home in Aquinnah on Martha’s Vineyard. Her husband, Ed,
her caregiver, Agnes Dankwah, and my partner Emily and I were by her bedside.
Alison was a journalist and activist who participated in a Family
Constellations training organized by Bert Hellinger, Harald Hohnen, and Suzi
Tucker in New York in 2001.
Alison was imbued with a sense of social justice even as a young girl. During
her undergraduate years at Sarah Lawrence College, she studied with the poet
and writer Grace Paley and the mythologist Joseph Campbell. For many years, she
wrote about progressive politics for Truthout, AlterNet, Common Dreams, and
other publications. Her podcast, Connect the Dots, in which she interviewed
thought leaders, ran for many years on the Progressive Radio Network. She was a
regular contributor to ConstellationTalk.
She leaves a body of work that has touched and inspired many. “I am thankful,”
she once wrote, ”for you, my friends, people who care, who face what is tough
to see, and who do the work involved in seeing it—from grieving to acting to
make it better, and I am grateful to the living earth and loving communities
that support us all.”
This forum and the many contributors and facilitators she befriended were an
important part of her life.
Warmly,
Dan
