Dear All,
Perhaps you may all learn from media that there's an earthquake(7.8 magnitude)
in Sichuan province of China on May 12th. Chinese govt has responded swiftly by
mobilizing more than 100,000 troops, doctors, firemen, rescue teams to the
areas. Thousands of people have been saved but the dead tolls are now more than
20,000, and estimated to rise more than 50,000. There could be more than 40,000
people still buried or missing. Hundreds of thousands casualties. Five million
people are become homeless right now.

China Government has called for volunteer psychotherapists to help counselling
casualties, those children who lost their parents, those parents lost their
children - many of them just have one child, and those who lost their partners,
friends, colleagues and fellow students. Some of my constellation students have
responded to this and on their way to the distraous areas. However,
psychotherapy is an infant profession and most of therapists have received only
very basic training and what they are facing now is a huge grief of people who
are now in traumatic states.
I would like to request your help:
1. Any people who have worked with traumatic states, could you please share
some of your experience such that at least some quick rules about crisis
intervention can be learnt by helpers to offer some relief to casualties? (e.g.
By constellation approach or by any other approaches.)
2. Could you please recommend some useful websites, reading materials, or any
other means regarding how to deal with mass distraous situation?
3. Could you please spread the messages to your friends that many Chinese
people need help?
On behalf of Chinese people, I appreciate for any form of help from all you!
I don't want to divert the focus of this forum, please send your reply to my
