One way people get it wrong is when they reply to a CT post thinking it to
the individual - It is not
Another way is when people add CT to their mailing list. They can do that
unwittingly by adding an individual from a CT email.
When I highlighted the USA contribution I wasn't being judgemental. I was
just stating a fact and the assessments of the causes were based on
people's reactions over the years. In general people from Europe, Africa,
Asia, Sout America and Australasia are all more cautious and considerate
and hen they do may a mistake tend to be more apologetic and less likely to
get angry and defensive. That is the behaviour I have objectively observed
over the last 10 years. Of course, there have been many Americans who are
considerate and respectful and there is the occasional person from other
countries who is difficult in the ways I have described.

In the years I've spent administering a few Google groups, I discovered
that there are default group reply setting options for "always reply to
individual" or "always reply to group". Don't know about administering a
yahoo group, because I've never used Yahoo.
Also sometimes the big providers change group behaviors without notifying
the admins. I have had to deal with this more than once over the years.
Could this be behavior be a result of a non-optimal default group reply
setting?
My guess is that there is a technical component to this issue (it has
happened with frequency lately, all under the same circumstances: reference
Bruce's recent post) rather than an entitlement issue.
If it IS an entitlement issue, perhaps we could look at the what-is with
patience and compassion, the same patience and compassion we bring to our
constellation work with our clients?
