Let RTD be your ride to watch the Broncos
Broncos fans, the start of the football season is almost here – and, like the
entire NFL, the team is preparing to play before a full-capacity crowd. RTD
services remain a safe and reliable way to get to the stadium. While
BroncosRide bus service remains suspended, several local bus routes will be
available, and RTD will scale up rail service to add capacity as necessary to
accommodate extra customers. Light rail service directly serves Empower Field
at Mile High. Several bus routes and commuter rail service connect to Denver
Union Station, allowing for a simple transfer to the C, E and W light rail
lines that directly serve the stadium. Fans, please wear a mask, prepare for
large crowds and check the RTD website before you travel.

A screen door, golf clubs, scuba gear and a bathroom sink. What do these
seemingly disparate items have in common? All were left on RTD property – and

RTD makes record repair despite heat, holiday
Damage to the overhead catenary system (OCS) system last month affected service
on RTD’s H and R light rail lines – and called for a repair effort beyond
anything the agency had undertaken over the 27 years it has operated light rail.

Did you know?
Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his iconic I Have a Dream” speech 58 years ago
this month from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. The
17-minute address, which calls for civil and equal rights for all and an end to
racial discrimination, served as a defining moment of the civil rights
movement.

Tip of the month
As students gear up to return to school, this season will continue to look a
bit different than during non-pandemic years. Per federal mandate, all
customers on RTD services are required to wear a face covering through Sept.
13, so please pack a mask in your pocket or backpack. In addition, RTD’s
dedicated staff continues to clean and disinfect all vehicles every day.
