My son in law's puter is infected with a irc backdoor trojan, he has limewire installed and went into the "redlight district" with out proper protection... Removal instructions say to run netstat -ao and check to see what's phoning home with a certain process id, go into task manager and end any thing with that process id... Then dig em out of the registry... I got those removal instructions here: http://www.ris.ualberta.ca/irc_backdoor.htm problem is the trojan has eaten up netstat, is there a neat utility that some of you guys swear by to id processes? thanks David ** YOUR HELP IS URGENTLY NEEDED ** DONATE to Hurricane Katrina victims: http://www.redcross.org/ DONATE Housing (Spare room, shelter) http://www.hurricanehousing.org/ --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Computer Talk Shop http://www.computertalkshop.com Un-subscribe/Vacation, http://www.computertalkshop.com/list_options.htm List HowTo: http://www.computertalkshop.com/faq.htm To join Computer Talk Shop's off topic list, please goto: http://computertalkshop.com/other_cts_lists.htm ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
