Create a .htaccess file in the directory that you would like to password
protect and link the .htpasswds file within AuthUserFile
Example:

AuthType Basic
AuthName "Password_Protected"
AuthUserFile
/home/youraccount/.htpasswds/directorythatpasswordprotected/passwd
require valid-user

My web host is running cpanel 6 as the control panel on a linux server.
I need to password protect a directory using 150 user names and passwords.
Using the control panel takes too long. Anyway to create the
names/passswords in a file off-line and upload them?
