Be careful - I hear that one of the Nashville hospitals are the ones that turned Ms Parton from a an A/B cup to what she is today. -----Original Message----- From: computertalkshop-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:computertalkshop-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Tee Sent: Monday, March 01, 2004 12:31 PM To: computertalkshop@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [CTS] OT - Off to see the wizard again... The "Wizard" being one of my many MS doctors (no, not Microsoft.. the *other* MS! LOL) I'm going back to the hospital in Nashville tomorrow (Tuesday) morning to have foot surgery. The MS has caused my left foot to turn in towards my right leg and freeze in place and they are gonna cut the Achilles Tendon and lengthen it, then they are going to pull the muscle that runs beside the smaller bone in the calf of the leg down to stretch it out.. then possibly turn the muscle that is on the top of the foot to pull the foot back to the normal position. The last part is a "maybe", depends on what he finds when he gets in there. I will have a cast on for anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks (again, depending on the amount of work he has to do when he gets in there). Once the cast comes off, they will remove the stitches then I'll be put into a special brace then off to PT for a couple months or so. (I've never been in a cast in my life so I'm *not* looking forward to it!) ACK! I have to be at St. Thomas at 8:30 for a 10:30 surgery. My dad is taking me down and staying until after the surgery, then Tom will pick me up on Wednesday morning. That way, there will be someone here for Tyler while Tom is at work (3rd shift). And this way was better than having Tom miss 2 shifts of work. I'll be in touch with Jackie and Michael, so either of them can update you if you want. Hugs to all! Tee
