In that respect, changing processors, a new laptop is the best way, with
rare exceptions where the mainboard could be upgraded - but the upgrades
generally involve swapping in a new proccesor card that is only available
from the OEM and generally expensive.

Okay I think I calmed down the "gotta get the new laptop" urges. My
Crucial
64MB RAM for teh laptop came today, so maybe upgrading seems to be what

wanna do. two questions.
1. How difficult is it to add another hard drive to a laptop?
a. Can laptops hold two drives?
2. How difficult is it to upgrade the CPU ( if the motherboard can be
upgraded) This last one is nto a given. But if I can get a decent
price on
a CPU for the laptop....
