Helping a neighbor with probable power supply intermitent failure. In working with his system (Win 98) I went to Windows Explorer to see what files he has and he had none. The left pane showed the regular structure but the right was blank. And the properties (rt click-...) wouldn't show up. I deleted the TEMP file and there were the names in the right pane as normal. And the Properties were available. Looked around and all normal. Closed Explorer and sometime later reopened it --same problem. Opening My Computer: C drive and drilling down thru the folders works fine. sfc showed no problems. The column widths are not reduced to zero. Any ideas? Otho PS: Good laugh from DC Rudd's reply to "Don't Reply" Thanks --------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----- Computer Talk Shop http://www.computertalkshop.com Un-subscribe/Vacation, http://szaroconsulting.com/cts/list_options.htm List HowTo: http://szaroconsulting.com/cts/faq To join Computer Talk Shop's off topic list, please goto: http://szaroconsulting.com/cts/other_cts_lists.htm --------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------
