it kept finding things that I wanted to keep and even when telling the program that, it still did the same thing so I removed it. Works great for me. ----- Original Message ----- From: Murray White To: computertalkshop@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Wednesday, May 05, 2004 1:31 PM Subject: [CTS] Re: Error Message I used that for awhile but did not like it at all. I'm using Registry Protect Admin and one could use WinPatrol. Currently, many use Spyware Blaster, Spyware Guard, Adaware and SpyBot S&D. each seems to find different things. Some use Spysweeper but again it will only provide updates in the paid version Another one that looks good and is freeware but I have not installed it so maybe you can be the tester and report your opinion. http://camtech2000.net/Pages/SpySites_Program.html#SpySitesFree It might even take the place of others. http://www.atozcomp.com/index.php check this site for links to the proggies mentioned and lots of other goodies and a forum and a link to 24/7 tech info and help. (I thought you were the one that told me about it) I'm confused. I thought it ran all the time and stopped things from coming into my computer. I just ran a scan and I had 545 pests. I tried to delete them and it says I have to buy the licensed version. I don't mind buying it but will it stop the pests or should I try the site you gave me below. Does Spyblaster do the same thing. I am also running PC-cillin, Ad-Aware and Spyware Guard. Yikes .. . to much for me to think about. ----- Original Message ----- From: Cuffy10@xxxxxxx To: computertalkshop@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Monday, May 03, 2004 4:21 PM Subject: [CTS] Re: Error Message In a message dated 5/3/04 1:06:57 PM Pacific Daylight Time, elaine.gairy@xxxxxxxxxxx writes: Thanks Russ . . . . it's weird because I am running Pest Patrol and it didn't detect it or remove it. Check at Wilders.org .............. they have a bunch of tools to remove stuff. Get a copy of spywareblaster too while there. That helps by stopping it from entering your machine. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Education is when you read the fine print.
