Thanks. With PD you look at the server cost. Compare seperate to the Small Biz
price and for $20-$30 more over the server price you get 5 clients. (Not per
client).

Thank you,

I've used both. Here is the difference.
PD consolidates contiguous space. In other words, there is no space between
anything, like you see in Windows defrag. Diskeeper works like Windows defrag,
only much better. It doesn't consolidate contiguous space on the drive.

I use PerfectDisk because I like the files to be contiguous. Actually, unless
you work the drive hard, and I do with PhotoShop, I think its a waste of money.
It may make a difference on a server as well.

On 1/25/2006 1:13 PM, Eric C. Vogel duly noted:
I am looking at DisKeeper Pro Premer 10 and PerfectDisk 7. I cannot see the
difference. I could between DK 9 and PD 6.

For a price point DK 10 and DK Server Std is $800 for 1 server and 5
clients. PD 7 Office pack (1 Server and 5 cli) is $264.

Not there is an additional Admin plugin for DK that is too much money.
Seems with PD 7, we can do it with the $264.

I will test PD7 on my laptop tonigh and see if it does anything.

I like how DK does bits at a time, but really, a Sat. frag is good enough.

    Thank you,
    Eric Vogel
