Crucial does not sell RAMBUS. I think it is a junker. It is like putting a
Thousand $ trans in a $500 value care.

You can clean the mem stick, but be very careful. Don't use the old eraser
trick; that will just leave a film on it. I use Stabiliant 22a. This is
probably the best electronic contact cleaner available. You can find it at
high-end car dealerships, usually.

You may luck out and cleaning will do the trick. I find this about %50 of
the time. The only real way to know is to swap out a known good mem stick.

I know it must have DDR, but what does the MB call for?

Best Buy is about the worst place to ask about anything computer.
NewEgg or
Crucial are both good places. At the Crucial web site you can see what the
computer memory needs are. They list just about everything.

Good luck,

Hal
