Plus my phone had been on the market for 1 year when I got it, so prices for
stuff for it kept falling fast.

Cell Batteries are expensive. I get a 33% of or 30% discount on VZW accessories due to me being a member of a chamber of commerce that is a member of a metro wide one which offers it. The way it works is you buy the CofC annual dues by how many employee's. So all employees are a member. :)
Lets just say the ext. battery from VZW was not that horrible. Also to prevent explosons, and stuff always buy ones made by your phone manufacture.

I rounded up this site when my sister was whining about the cost of replacement batteries being higher than the cost of a new cell phone.
Maybe some of you could use this info ? I ordered some CMOS batteries a few weeks ago and had no problems.
