Ah, I see the issue now. It's not that field isn't there, it's that, on
first run, the field doesn't have any value and is missing a placeholder to
indicate what to do.

I've opened a bug for it here:

https://github.com/comixed/comixed/issues/1245

and we'll have that fixed in the next release, which'll be in a couple of
days.

When you go to the Import Comics view, there's an input field in the
toolbar.

In the screenshot above from 1.0.2-1 the field is prefilled with
"/Volumes/Development Storage/comixed workspace/test_library". Are you not
seeing a field like this on your system?
