I just deleted 12 comics, then consolidated my library (removing the physical
files) – everything worked as expected.
Then I selected another comic for deletion – pressed “delete sections” and got
a confirmation asking if I was sure I wanted to delete the 12 selected comics.
I de-selected the comic I was intending to delete, pressed “delete selections”
again, and was asked if I was sure I wanted to delete the 11 selected comics.
Note that after consolidating the library, and selecting a single issue for
deletion, I had not selected any other comics.
Feels like a bug, but before I raise one figured Id better check it’s not
working as intended and I’m missing something.

Just playing around with deletion – as far as I can tell, there doesn’t seem to
be a way to unmark a file for deletion, and once a comic is marked for deletion
the pop-out menu isn’t available.
Can I just confirm that I’m not missing something?

Remember, you're not marking the comics for deletion: you're marking the
duplicate pages for deletion. But I see the bug:
* the toaster message (the box in the upper right corner) is reporting the
number of different duplicates rather than the number of pages marked for
deletion, which is one bug, and
* the label for each duplicate page shouldn't say "Found in X comics." but
"Found X times.", which is the other bug.
So could you open them as two separate bugs?
For the selection issue, I think it's an expectation issue and not a bug: you
don't need to select a comic to open it, you can just right click on a comic,
selected or not, and open it from the popup menu. Viewing a comic and going
back to the library view won't clear the selection since no operation was done
on the selected comics. This lets your look at a single comic's details when
building a selection without affecting your previous selections.
We could definitely enhance the delete dialog to make it easier for the admin
to see what they're about to delete. But I don't think the scenario you
described is a bug: that's how the app is intended to work.

Right, so I’ve had a quick play (less than a minute)...and I have some serious
reservations about deleting pages or comics and library consolidation.
I’ll raise a bug for this later, but marking pages for deletion just about gave
me a heart attack – the toaster message indicate that every duplicate page had
been flagged for deletion, despite only one set of three pages was selected.
Hovering over the duplicates points at the toaster being incorrect.
Onto my reservations – there’s no way (that I can see) to identify which comics
have been marked for deletion. This is especially problematic if I chose to
delete the physical files – and for sure I’ve accidentally marked some for
deletion before. Need to raise a bug about that too, as it appeared (will
confirm prior to raising the bug) that CX didn’t clear selected comics when I
returned to the library menu, so when I marked two comics for deletion, CX also
marked the comic I’d just opened.
Will provide more feedback later when I get a chance to have a proper poke
around.

Hi, like bareheiny, I tried to create a reading list and add comics during 2
hours without success... (it was my first time with this feature)... but after
reading the issues, I saw that it was not possible anymore if I understood well
(issue #274).

So far the import speed seems better - but I’m not sure anything changed there,
so may be imagining things.
Anyway, I’ve noticed that 0.7 is now available - do you want that, or 0.6
tested? If 0.6, I’ll modify my bat file to disable the automatic updating.
I also can’t see a way to create reading lists in 0.6 - is that intended?
Asking due to the bugs you’ve raised...

Hey, all! Wanted to reach out and let you know that I'm preparing to put out
the v0.6.0-0.rc1 for ComiXed.
This is a release candidate, so expect bugs. Please be sure to backup your
database before running this release, so you can restore it if there are
issues. And I'd definitely suggest not using it on any live data until we get
to the GA.
It's also the first drop in the release schedule I'd like to follow. What I'd
like to do is put out a new release every 3 months of whatever is currently
working, to get it into more hands more quickly.
And to follow the open source model, I'll put the release to a vote when
everybody's had a chance to download, play with and test the candidate. If a
bug is identified as a blocker, then a new release candidate will need to be
developed and tested. When we're all in agreement that a release candidate has
no blockers, and any bugs found are deemed acceptable, then we'll mark that as
the GA.
NOTE: There are three features that I didn't get a chance to address by today,
so I'm going to put them on the next release's schedule. But, as they're
developed, I'll put out an incremental 0.6.n release with them for people to
use before then.
That said, look to the releases[1] and please download the release. Bang on it,
click things and see what happens. And please report any bugs with reproducer
steps when you hit them.
