I had a fun, low key year with 1 epic gem, 1 hen's tooth, and a handful of fun
little finds.

1) Uncanny X-Men #282, pg 16 by Whilce Portacio and Art Thibert
This was hands down my coolest piece of the year. Of a few years:) It's just
freakin' awesome!! It's my second favorite page of the run. I remember this
page SO well!! (Many thanks to Steve!)

2) John Cuneo Santa Claus Illustration
John Cuneo has been on my want list for years but is very tough to get art
from. Best bet is usually a charity auction if you're lucky enough to notice
it. There was only 1 piece on all of CAF. Hen's teeth. Somehow, this year
things aligned:)

3) Spider-Man: Reign #1, pg 31 by Kaare Andrews
I love Reign. Great story and art, crazily told, and thoroughly enjoyable. The
OA is about storytelling and bones. Kaare did a ton of post-production work.
This is a great fight scene from the first issue I'd always loved and been
hoping for a page from. One finally appeared this year:)

4) Floating House by Chris Riddell
At the beginning of the pandemic he started drawing a ton of floating houses,
which he later sold in some weekly listings. I ended up snagging 3 of them.
This was the last and best of them. I want to live here!!

5) Calvin & Hobbes by Gemma Correll
This was a piece done for an exhibit at the Cartoon Art Museum
(www.cartoonart.org<https://www.cartoonart.org/>) of artists interpreting
Calvin and Hobbes. This is by Gemma Correll, a wonderful pug artist I adore
(Pugs not Drugs, etc). They sold the art on eBay to raise funds and I was
thrilled to win this:)
