I thought the new Spider-Man film was somehow connecting the previous
Spider-Man films into one Multi-verse, so maybe that will then be expanded upon
to link the other Marvel films, like X-Men.
And Marvel has said there will be a Deadpool 3, which I assume will also be in
the current MCU but how will they explain the resemblance between Cable and
Thanos? :-)

supposed to be an "in-story" reason.
That said, Marvel was clearly yanking our chain by casting Evan Peters in that
role. They seemed to have intended it as a tribute to a popular character from
the X-Men movies. But it backfired horribly, because we all felt let down when
they didn't seize the opportunity to make it stick, and bring the X-Men film

Subject: [comicart-l] MCU query on WandaVision So I have a question -
I have been re-watching WandaVision whilst awaiting the next episode of Loki
etc -
There is something still bugging me from when i first saw it - which contains
spoilers for the 0.001 % of comics fans who haven’t seen it -
What is the ‘in story’ explanation as to why Ralph Bohner, the resident of
Westview who was manipulated by Agnes, to be ‘Fake Pietro’, just happened to
look exactly like Pietro from the Fox movies? to have Evan Peters (who I also
just saw in the excellent series ‘Mare of Easttown’) in the show as a nod to
fans would be great but it was clearly a deliberate red herring for the viewers
but not one that made sense within the MCU - was it all just a coincidence????
