Deteriorating trends
According to the INFORM Severity Index, these are the crises that show the
highest deteriorating trend over the last six months:
- Mixed migration flows in Yemen
- Northwest Banditry in Nigeria
- Middle Belt conflict in Nigeria
- Complex crisis in Colombia
- Boko Haram in Cameroon
Please note that this is not the full list of all crises showing deteriorating
trends. |

| Newly added crisis
The crisis 'Drought in Somalia' has been opened in November 2021. The Prime
Minister of Somalia declared a state of emergency in November, due to the
growing severity of drought in the country. 80% of Somalia's territory has been
affected by drought, and 2.8 million people are in need of humanitarian
assistance. |

|
|
|
| The INFORM Severity Index is a regularly updated, and easily interpreted
model for measuring the severity of humanitarian crisis globally.
It is currently used, among others, by USAID's Bureau for Humanitarian
Assistance (BHA), and the European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid
Operations (ECHO) to support evidence-based decision making. |
