Estimadas y estimados socios de gobierno, sociedad civil y otros sectores:
Adjuntamos carta de invitación de los cofacilitadores de las consultas
intergubernamentales para acordar la Declaración de Progreso que se adoptará en
el primer Foro de Examen de la Migración Internacional (FEMI), para una reunión
virtual con las partes interesadas y las entidades de la ONU el lunes 7 de
marzo de 2022 de 8 a 11am EST (Nueva York) / 2 a 5pm CET (Ginebra).
El objetivo de esta reunión virtual es intercambiar opiniones sobre las
prioridades y la estructura de la Declaración de Progreso.
Sírvase inscribirse aquí y participe en la reunión haciendo clic en este
enlace. Habrá interpretación en árabe, chino, español, francés, inglés y ruso.
Para garantizar la mayor participación posible de los Estados Miembros y las
partes interesadas en el proceso preparatorio del Foro de Examen de la
Migración Internacional (FEMI), la Red de las Naciones Unidas sobre Migración,
en nombre de los cofacilitadores de las consultas intergubernamentales sobre la
Declaración de Progreso, abre un espacio de debate dedicado en el Centro de la
Red sobre Migración.
Este espacio estará abierto mientras dure el proceso de consulta y estará
disponible en inglés, francés y español. Se ruega que los comentarios sean
concisos y se centren en el Pacto Mundial para la Migración Segura, Ordenada y
Regular (PMM) y en la finalidad del FEMI. Se pueden hacer múltiples
presentaciones.
Para poder contribuir y compartir aportaciones en el espacio de debate, inicie
sesión con su cuenta en el Centro de la Red de Migración. Si aún no tiene una
cuenta, le invitamos a crear una aquí.
Importante recordar que la Asamblea General, en su resolución A/RES/73/326,
pidió que la Declaración de Progreso fuera breve, concisa, basada en evidencia
y orientada a la acción.
La Declaración de Progreso puede contener
(i) Una evaluación del progreso general realizado con respecto a la
implementación de los 23 objetivos del Pacto Mundial en todos los niveles;
(ii) Una identificación de los principales retos, oportunidades y cuestiones
emergentes relacionadas con la implementación del Pacto Mundial, y el potencial
de una mayor cooperación internacional en materia de migración internacional;
(iii) Recomendaciones sobre la implementación del Pacto Mundial, según proceda.
Con base en estas orientaciones, los cofacilitadores agradecerán los
comentarios y sugerencias relativos a la Declaración de Progreso.

Dear stakeholder and civil society partners,
Please find attached an invitation letter from the co-facilitators of the
intergovernmental consultations to agree on the Progress Declaration to be
adopted at the first International Migration Review Forum (IMRF), for a virtual
townhall with stakeholders and UN entities on Monday, 7 March 2022 from 8am –
11am EST (New York)/ 2pm – 5pm CET (Geneva).
The objective of this virtual townhall is to exchange views on the priorities
and the structure of the Progress Declaration.

Interpretation will be provided in Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian
and Spanish.
To ensure the widest possible engagement of Member States and stakeholders in
the preparatory process of the International Migration Review Forum (IMRF), the
United Nations Network on Migration, on behalf of the co-facilitators of the
intergovernmental consultations on the Progress Declaration, is opening a
dedicated discussion space on the Migration Network Hub.
This space will be open for the duration of the consultation process and will
be available in English, French and Spanish. Please keep comments concise and
focused on the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration (GCM) and
purpose of the IMRF. Multiple submissions can be made.
In order to be able to contribute and share inputs in the discussion space,
please log into your account on the Migration Network Hub. If you do not have
an account yet, we kindly invite you to create one here.
To recall, the General Assembly, in its resolution A/RES/73/326, called for the
Progress Declaration to be brief, concise, evidence-based and action-oriented.
The Progress Declaration may contain:
(i) An evaluation of the overall progress made with respect to the
implementation of the 23 objectives of the Global Compact at all levels;
(ii) An identification of the key challenges, opportunities and emerging issues
related to the implementation of the Global Compact, and the scope for further
international cooperation on international migration;
(iii) Recommendations on the implementation of the Global Compact, as
appropriate.Building on this guidance, the co-facilitators would welcome
comments and suggestions with regards to the Progress Declaration.
