Dear colleagues,
On behalf of David Fitzgerald (University of California at San Diego)
andmyself, I am writing to encourage you to sign an open letter that we
haveprepared in the context of growing media attention to the ongoing
globalrefugee situation. While many of us have responded individually
throughmedia interviews, advocacy, op eds, etc, we believe that a collective
openletter could be useful to build pressure on refugee-hosting governments- at
national and regional levels - to do more. We have deliberately keptthe
language broad and inclusive in order to appeal to the broadest numberof
people. We would be grateful if you could circulate this call to
interestedcolleagues and consider signing the letter yourself:
