Invitation for Contributions: 30th Year Anniversary Volume
In 2017, the Journal of Population Economics will celebrate 30 years of
dedication to publishing excellent theoretical and applied research in all
areas of population economics. In commemoration of this milestone, the Editors
would like to invite outstanding contributions on topics relevant to all areas
of the economics of population, household, and human resources. The aim of this
Anniversary Volume is to feature articles which best exemplify the field in
terms of innovative, insightful, and influential research. We welcome original
research articles on pivotal topics in the field; evaluations of relevant
programs, projects, and policies; literature reviews; and perspectives on how
the field should and will develop in the future. As articles included in Volume
30 are expected to be widely read and highly cited, the Editors hope that the
prestige and honor of being included in the Anniversary Volume will motivate
talented scholars to send their best work to the Journal. Submitted papers will
undergo the standard rigorous editorial and review process. Volume 30 will
consist of 4 issues, with 10 papers per issue. Because issue 1 of Volume 30
will appear in Fall 2016, to be considered for publication in the first two
issues, the manuscripts should be submitted in Fall 2015. Manuscripts for
issues 3 and 4 of Volume 30 can be submitted by early 2016. Editors reserve the
right to allocate submissions to the appropriate issue. Submissions that cannot
be accepted for publication in the Anniversary Volume may nevertheless be
published in a regular Journal volume. Authors should note in their cover
letter that they would like their submissions to be considered for publication
in the 30th Anniversary Volume.
