I am co-leading workshops in January/February 2007 about how applying the five
levels of grief for death counseling can help separating or divorcing couples
remain in relation and obtain closure. A similar presentation was given to 40
attorneys and therapists with the CCRE in Santa Rosa during a 90 minute lunch
this spring and was very well received.
Aside from the unique subject matter, of the total 8 hrs of CE credits for
MFTs and LCSWs, 6 hours is approved for Law and Ethics credits. Thanks to
Pauline Tesler's suggestion, CFLS attorneys will receive 8 hours of credit for
"Psychological and Counseling Aspects of Dissolution of Marriage."
The workshop leader Cassandra Light is very well known in the Bay Area for
her work with grief and trauma. Included is a one hour lecture on ethics: Judi
Foley in San Diego, Ron Supancic in Los Angeles, and Nancy Ross in San
Francisco.
See www.sophia-foundation.org/workshops.htm for details. I will also
demonstrate my soon-to-be-released KidsFirst! software and give a free license
to attendees. Any questions please contact me directly: henry@xxxxxxxxx
Thanks for your consideration.
