Our group is undertaking an evolution to a multi-disciplinary practice after
being "lawyer only" since inception. I am currently working on one file where
we are pursuing resolution in this model, based upon some rudimentary training
the lawyers have done directly with two mental-health professionals willing to
become involved, however, in my mind, a lack of training by lawyers and other
professionals is probably a good way to assure failure - could anyone advise me
on their experiences in bringing non-lawyer professionals into the practice,
and what is available in terms of multi-disciplinary training opportunities -
our concern being that if the cost is prohibitive, we are going to have
problems gathering up willing non-lawyer professionals.
