Honey,
We also use e-mail for all communication among the professionals with very
special care taken about which parts of the communication might go to clients.
Mental health folks are included and do so as well. Further, when I have
been a co-parenting consultant and, virtually, draw up the agreement with the
clients, I use e-mail with them for clarification and corrections. It is a
very efficient way.
One point regarding mental health folks if they do what I am implying
above, they need to learn that they can charge for this service. As Peggy
Thompson says in her recent book with Pauline on Collaborative Divorce, we just
need
to spell out ahead of time and have the clients know what services we charge
for. My fee letter includes information that I will charge for document
preparation, extensive phone work, etc.,and my clients sign my letter so that
we
have an agreement.
I hope this helps, Maria Alba-Fisch
