Brian,
I am going to register for the training. I have been wanting to get additional
training and combining with a Chip Rose training, a trip to Utah (I can stay at
my folk's house in SLC), and my mother's birthday all at the same time is a
pretty attractive package!
I should be sending in my registration fee in the next month or so.
We did our first training for SW Washington in April, in conjunction with the
Oregon group, which is now called Collaborative Family Law Professionals
(serving Washington and Oregon), a change from Collaborative Family Lawyers of
Oregon. I am in the midst of my first collaborative case.
You invited me to be part of your group when your group was formed, back when I
was recovering from cancer in 2000. I am also licensed in Utah. You and I have
talked by email in the past. I am looking forward to meeting members of the
Utah group next February!
Best wishes,
Meredith McKell Graff

Subject: [CollabLaw] Training Seminar in Utah
Collaborative CLE and Ski in Utah!
To all interested members of IACP and other professionals interested
in Collaborative divorce.
The Collaborative Family Lawyers of Utah will be hosting a
one day advanced collaborative law training seminar. Chip Rose will
conduct the training. His title: "What Do You Do When You Don't Know
What To Do?" Since the seminar will be held in February in Park
City, Utah, a very famous skiing area and site of some of the 2002
Olympic venues, Chip's subtitle for this seminar is: "How To Avoid
Crossing Your Tips"
The date for this Seminar is Friday, February 25, 2005. We
have arranged for this date and location so that those of you who
might enjoy skiing could combine attendance at the Seminar with some
skiing at one of the wonderful Park City skiing resorts, including
the world famous Deer Valley.
The Seminar will be held at The Lodge at Stillwater, a new
hotel on the shores of Jordanelle reservoir. The hotel is holding a
block of rooms for our group for Thursday, February 24, 2005 through
Sunday, February 27, 2005. Because hotel space in Park City is at a
premium during that time of year, the group rate and the hold on the
block of rooms will only last until October 31, 2004. You should
call the Hotel by then to reserve your room. Tell them you are with
the Collaborative Family Lawyers of Utah to get the group rate of
$189.00 per night, plus applicable taxes, which are currently 10%.
The hotel phone number is (435) 940-3800. The hotel provides shuttle
service to all of the ski resorts.
The registration cost for this full, one day seminar will be
$150.00 per person. This will include Chip's training materials, a
continental breakfast on Friday morning and lunch that day. To
insure a reservation for the seminar you should send the registration
fee payable to CFLU, addressed to:
