and I have no solid moral grounding that will prevent me from "borrowing"
"stealing" "lifting" or otherwise snagging from others work. I figured we have
been around 10 years and have provided plenty of mentoring to other groups....I
am one who truly detests reinventing wheels!! ( I also see a lot of my Shared
Parenting Plan language turn up in others Documents as well!!)

When our Nebraska group was coming together a short time ago, we were
the grateful recipients of the generosity of several other practice
groups who volunteered the use of their mission statement and vision
language.  As the below wording will attest, we unabashedly "borrowed",
"lifted", "stole", etc. to arrive at the following:


VISION

      To provide families in conflict with a peaceful, dignified and
respectful alternative to the traditional adversarial divorce process,
and to establish Collaborative Practice as the preferred method for
resolving family law disputes in the State of Nebraska.

                                                                 MISSION
STATEMENT

      To establish Collaborative Practice Groups whose independent,
unaffiliated practitioners will work together to guide separating and
divorcing clients toward restructuring the family unit and resolving
their legal, financial and emotional issues in a cooperative manner.

While the Cincinnati Collaborative Group (Cincinnati Academy of
Collaborative Professionals) has been around since 1997, we are just

getting

around to working on a Vision/Mission Statement.

Ok... better late than never!! As Mark Twain (Samuel Clemmons) said,
"Everything in Cincinnati happens ten years later", so we are really

right

on schedule!!

In an effort to not reinvent the wheel, I would ask that if your

group has developed a Mission statement, it would be very appreciated

if you

could send me a copy, or provide a link to access same.
