EMDR LEVEL 1
Prerequisites:
-Masters level training in a mental health field
-Belong to a professional organization with a code of ethics or be a student
with appropriate supervision
Objectives of the Course:
Participants will learn to use EMDR appropriately and effectively in a
variety of applications. Such use is based on understanding the theoretical
basis of EMDR, safety issues, integration with a treatment plan, and supervised
practice.
Level 1 is usually sufficient for work with uncomplicated Posttraumatic
Stress Disorder in most clients.
Level 2 is necessary for working effectively with more complex cases, special
populations and more severe, longstanding or complicated psychopathology.
Structure:
Lecture, discussion, demonstration, video = 9hours
Supervised practice = 6 hours

The class will take place March 5 to 7, Friday Evening (7:00 to 9:00),
Saturday and Sunday (9:00 to 4:00) at the Hummingbird Lodge, 1597 Starbuck

The class fee will be $565 - this includes lunch and coffee breaks for all
