*Join me March 14-16, 2013 in Baltimore, Maryland for an intensive
three-day advanced seminar, co-sponsored by Pepperdine University Law
School's Straus Institute of Dispute Resolution and the University of
Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law. * The last time my co-leader
David Fink and I presented this seminar was five years ago; it is likely
to be some time before you'll have another opportunity to participate in an
event of this depth and sophistication.
The seminar (one of eight concurrent workshops offered at the Straus
Institute's 1st Annual Baltimore/East Coast Professional Skills Program in
Dispute Resolution) presents a rare opportunity to work closely with a
small group of experienced collaborative lawyers on the most challenging
issues we face as we offer clients increasingly sophisticated team-based
collaborative service-delivery models. The small workshop size and
informal, flexible seminar format permit us to identify each participant's
personal growth edge and to tailor exercises and discussion that can take
participants to the next level of excellence. We can go to a depth rarely
matched even in advanced collaborative training programs because of the
trust level that develops among participants over the three days of the
program.****

The workshop carries *18 hours of California MCLE credit* (provided by
the Straus Dispute Resolution Institute) and can also offer *18 hours of
California Certified Family Law Specialist credit* and *one hour of
California MCLE ethics credit *(both of the latter provided by Pauline H.
Tesler). ****
Don't miss this rare opportunity to engage in collegial learning and
problem solving with a small group of highly skilled colleagues from across
North America. Over the years since the workshop was last offered in
2008, the collaborative model has evolved to address challenges associated
with promulgation of the Uniform Collaborative Law Act and with an

resolution. David and I plan to explore a variety of perspective and
approaches to these new challenges with the experienced collaborative
lawyers who enroll in the seminar. ****

Many of the participants in the two seminar/workshops offered in 2008
(Malibu, California and Woodstock, Vermont) had completed more than fifty
cases and several had handled over a hundred cases. These lawyers brought a
depth and breadth of insight to the seminar discussions that David and I
found highly stimulating and that participants described as exciting and
