Hi everyone,
We have a request here in the office for a California divorce lawyer for a
client who is presently in the Philippines but who's normal residence is
California. One of our lawyers here has strong connections to the Filipino
community so we are fielding a request to assist this man. He is not
presently our client, nor will he be, so the jurisdiction will be
California, not Manitoba and not the Philippines.The wife lives in
California, in Lakewood, which I'm told is near LA so we are looking for a
lawyer from that area if possible.
The husband advises that the wife does not yet have a lawyer. He wishes to
initiate proceedings in California. His intention is to remain in the
Philippines for as long as possible so initially contact will be by
telephone.
The husband speaks English. Our initial inquiry confirms sufficient
financial resources to retain counsel privately and Legal Aid will not be
an issue.
No guarantee that this will be collaborative.
Anyone from that area interested? If not can you recommend anyone?
